The Jay family seem all to need the doctor at once. Jack has hurt his arm, Jenny has a bad cough, and baby Joey nees his immunizations. An appointment is made and off they go. The bright, busy, lively pictures show the female doctor giving Jack a sling for his sprained wrist, diagnosing Jenny's chest infection and giving Joey an injection and his polio drops. A visit to the chemist for Jenny's medicine completes a busy day for poor mum, who (quite rightly) looks exhausted. This is a welcome new edition of an older text, including such revisions as computerised prescriptions. An excellent introduction to the doctor's surgery.
