It is the first day of school, and the twin chickens are a little worried. Reassurances from Mother Hen and the teacher, Mrs Heron, are encouraging, but the little chickens find their fellow classmates boisterous and a little unfriendly. It appears, though, that they have approached Beaver, Rabbit, and Frog at the wrong moments - when they are concentrating on other things. It is afternoon before the Chicken Chickens learn just how friendly and helpful their new classmates can be. A jolly romp with lots of liveliness and colour, accentuating the positive aspects of school.
