No one notices Topsy and Tim's itchy heads until a letter from school tells of an outbreak of head lice. The children must use smelly lotion, which they hate, but when Topsy is found to have lice a second time, her mum finds a new method. Using lots of conditioner on Topsy's hair and a fine-toothed comb, she washes and combs the hair often over two weeks. A didactic story, but good information presented cheerfully.
