Blessu is a very small elephant - so small that when he walks with the herd he is completely covered by the flowering elephant-grasses. This makes him sneeze, and each time he does, his relatives all cry 'Bless you'. This happens so often that the little elephant decides Blessu must be his name. As he grows, the hay fever gets worse, but his family say never mind: all that sneezing will make his trunk longer and stronger - which it does.
