Ed refuses to eat his dinner, so mum and dad send him upstairs. He escapes because he is hungry, and at a nearby school, the children feed him sweets - until he is very fat and very green. Of course, he is sick, and the next day he is glad to see his bowl of ordinary food once again. When his parents offer him a sweet as a special treat, he says, 'No! I won't eat that!' Nicely cautionary, and Ed's being a dog makes the pill more palatable.
