e.explore human body ISBN: 9781405315463
Published by Dorling Kindersley, 2006
This one is for the child seriously interested in the human body. With links to the special DK site on the Internet and onwards to other Google sites, the information and printable resources seem almost endless. The twelve separate body systems are thoroughly explored, along with all the concommitant necessary building blocks, such as cells, organs, chromosomes, DNA, genes, and the human genome. There is a thorough and lengthy timeline of medical discoveries, and, as always with DK, the graphics, photos and blow-ups of various micro systems are stunning. Some of the information is beyond this non-scientific orientated reviewer, so I must simply trust the accuracy of it, but for a budding doctor or biologist, it should be of infinite iterest.
