When Connie goes to play at Robert's house, Robert refuses to share any of his toys. Connie has her own way of coping. Instead of playing with Robert's train, she imagines herself driving a real one. When Robert says the trumpet is his, Connie imagines herself in a magical wood blowing her own. And so it goes. Robert's selfishness cannot touch Connie, and in the end, it is Connie's imaginary story that she willingly shares with Robert. A beautifully presented cautionary tale.
